Clark A. English

	Clark A. English, USAF Lt. Col. Retired, of Marion, formerly of Anna, died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2004 in Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
	Clark was born February 3, 1921 in Diehlstadt, Mo., the son of Joseph and Rose Rollins English.  He married Bettye Cash December 20, 1942 in Jackson, Mo.
	He retired from the USAF as Lt. Col. in 1965 and as a communications expert from the U.S. Department of Defense in 1986.  He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the former Army Air Corps.
	He is survived by his wife, Bettye of Marion; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Ellery Drew and Sharon English of Mustang, Oklahoma, Terry Lynn English of San Diego, California and Gary Winston English of Baltimore, Maryland; one sister, Ellen Campbell of Anna; three brothers and sisters-in-law, J.T. and Jenny English of Du Quoin, Rex and Betty English of Christopher and Harold and Mary English of Carterville; six grandchildren, Ellery Drew English, Greg English, Dawn Riden, Brian English, Pamela Johnson and Emily Glasser; three great-grandchildren, Ellery Drew English, Seth Gabriel Riden and Carter Andrew Johnson.
	He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Winstead English and a sister, Dixie English Lewis.
	Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 23 in Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna with the Rev. Tim Sadler officiating.  Interment with full military honors by Anna VFW Post 3455 was in Anna Cemetery.  Friends called from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
	Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna was in charge of arrangements.
